A Magonc Alapítvány Európai Uniós támogatással nemzetközi tábort szervez 14-18 éves fiataloknak 2015. nyarán.

A program egyik kulcsterülete olyan ifjúságicsere-projektek támogatása, melyek a fiatalok számára lehetővé teszik kompetenciáik fejlesztését, fontos társadalmi kérdések megismerését, új kultúrák és szokások felfedezését.

A tervezett csoportlétszám a projektvezetőkkel együtt 35 fő.

Mikor & Hol

A tábor 2015. augusztus 11-től augusztus 22-ig tart.

Gödöllő Pest megyében, a Rákos-patak partján, a Gödöllői-dombság völgyében fekszik.

A projekt 3 szervezet nemzetközi együttműködésére épül:

  • Koordinátor és fogadó szervezet: a projekt és a hozzá kapcsolódó pályázat gazdája, benyújtója. Felelős a résztvevők fogadásáért, a tábor programjának kidolgozásáért. Tájékoztatja a küldő szervezeteket a gyakorlati tudnivalókról (utazás, találkozó, időpontok, stb). Szükség esetén segítséget nyújt minden résztvevőnek a tábor ideje alatt. Kiállítja és hitelesíti a résztvevők YouthPass tanúsítványait.
    • Magonc Alapítvány
  • Küldő szervezetek: Felelősek a fiatalok és a csoportvezetők kiválasztásáért és részvételéért a táborban. Felkészítik a résztvevőket indulás előtt, továbbítják nekik a koordinátortól kapott információkat, segítik a résztvevőket a tábor előtt és után.
    • Magyarország: Magonc Alapítvány
    • Olaszország: South Europe Youth Forum
    • Románia: Future in Progress
    • Sponyolország: ACD LA HOYA
    • Törökország: Genç Girişim Derneği

Minden szervezet 5 14-18 éves résztvevőt és 1 felnőtt csoportvezetőt választ és delegál a táborba. A résztvevőktől alapszintű angol nyelvtudás elvárt, hiszen a tábori tevékenységek munkanyelve az angol lesz.

Rólunk

A Magonc Alapítvány közvetlen célja természetvédelmi, környezetvédelmi, kulturális és sport programok, rendezvények szervezése, melyek során a résztvevők megismerkedhetnek hazánk történelmi és kulturális emlékeivel, nyitottak lesznek a világ természeti-kulturális értékeinek befogadására. Küldetésünk, hogy a programjainkon résztvevő fiatalokból olyan felnőttek váljanak, akik képesek lesznek felelősen és bátran gondolkodni, majd cselekedni is közösségükért, környezetükért.

The project is going to be implemented under the Erasmus+ programme Key Action 1, hosted by a Hungarian organization, called Magonc Foundation. Erasmus+ is the new EU programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport for 2014-2020. Key Action 1 contains Youth Exchanges, which allow groups of young people to develop competences; become aware of socially relevant topics/thematic areas; discover new cultures, habits and life-styles, mainly through peer-learning; strengthen values like solidarity, democracy, friendship, etc.

The main activity of the project will be a camp hosting 5 organizations from 5 European countries: Italy, Spain, Turkey, Romania, and Hungary. Each organization can send 5 participant between the age of 14-18 and a group leader. The total number of the participants will be 34 with the management team. The camp will be held at Godollo, Hungary from 11th to 22th of August 2015, for 12 days of activities.

For the Italian, Spanish and Turkish groups, the programme also includes 2 travel days (1 before and 1 after the activity) allowing to arrive on time and stay until the end of the official programme. Therefore the above groups should buy their travel tickets to 10 August (inbound) and 23 August (outbound).

The main theme of the camp will be sustainable development, upcycling (value-added recycling) and innovative community solutions to global environmental and social problems. Through sharing, interactive activities, practices and games, the project will focus on successful and sustainable initiatives, non-governmental organizations, and also youth citizenship and awareness.

The whole camp is based on non-formal education practices and tools in order to let the participants recognize and realise the good ways to follow by themselves, through the following methods: small/big group work, role plays, simulations, participatory experiences, etc.

Based on the characteristics of a youth exchange, the nature of the program will be informal. Discovering each other’s culture, making friendships and visiting the main attractions of the area (including Budapest, world heritage baths, castles, etc.) will be at least as important as the “professional goals” and learning activities.

When

According to the project dates, Romanian and Hungarian participants should arrive to Budapest (Hungary) on the day of 11th August 2015 and leave on the 22th of August. All other groups should arrive on 10 August and leave on 23 August. The meeting point is going to be at Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD) or at Keleti railway station (if you come by train) from where we will manage to get to the location of the camp.

Where

The camp is going to be located at Godollo town. The town is about 30 kilometres from Budapest (capital of Hungary). Participants will be hosted in a school building. The school has large and cosy rooms, a nice yard, a sport hall and is located close to historical parks of the Habsburg dynasty. The town is also reputed for a typical touristic castle, which was established in the 18th century, by earl Antal Grassalkovich, Hungarian aristocrat.

Financial Conditions Thanks to the support of the Erasmus+ programme, the following costs will be fully covered by the project budget:

  • Travel costs to and from Budapest: up to 200 EUR depending on your location (RO: 100 EUR, TR: 150 EUR, IT: 200 EUR, SP: 200 EUR). Notice: travel costs will be reimbursed via bank transfer within 5 days after we receive the tickets after the camp.
  • All local travel costs
  • Food and accommodation during the full length of the camp
  • Programs & activities including entrance tickets and guides
  • An Advance Planning Visit before the camp, for the adult attendants (group leaders) of all organizations involved in the project to develop the detailed programme.

This means that neither the sending organizations, nor the participants does NOT have to pay for participating in the project. There is no registration fee needed for participating in this project.

The budget does not covers the following optional costs: pocket money, any honorarium or salary for the group leaders.

Partnership

Matching to the Erasmus+ programme goals and criteria, the project demands on partnership between more organizations.

Participating organisations involved in the project assume the following roles and tasks:

  • Coordinator of the project and receiving organisation – Magonc Foundation: Applying – and responsible – for the whole project on behalf of all the partner organisations. In charge of hosting the activity, developing a programme of activities for participants. Providing all necessary information before the project to the sending organizations (schedule, travelling methods, etc), and providing support to individual participants during the camp. Print and validate Youthpass Certificates for the participants in order the recognition of non-formal learning in the youth field.
  • Sending organisations: In charge of sending young people and group leaders abroad. This includes: organising practical arrangements; preparing participants before departure; providing support to individual participants before and after the camp. Sending organizations can join to the development of the detailed programme of activities, common rules, etc. This is going to be achieved during an Advance Planning Visit before the camp. All sending organizations have to provide basic information about themselves in English, and also send a legally signed agreement of the participation during the preparation period. In this project we expect 5 youth participants (aged between 14 and 17) plus 1 adult attendant (group leader) per sending organisation. Basic English knowledge is needed, because that will be the working language of all activities.

About us

The Magonc Foundation’s main aim is to organize environmental protection and conservation, cultural and sports programs to help our participating youths in their healthy development from childhood. During these programmes, we would like the participants to learn about historical, environmental and cultural heritage, and to enable them to accept the whole world’s cultural values.

One of the largest and most important projects of the organization is a summer camp that have been organised in different parts of Hungary’s typical landscapes since 2008. There are 120 participants, including the campers, helpers and organisers. The main aim of the summer camp is to provide a natural environment for the participants far away from cities and towns, where they can learn about the ecology of the particular land, customs and occupation of the local people. During all these activities a well-functioning, cohesive social community is being formed.

Starting from 2009, the foundation also takes an active role in international projects. Magonc aims to organize exchange programs in which Hungarian youngsters can visit other countries, and other youngsters living abroad have a chance to visit Hungary. Cultural diversity and exchanging experiences are taking an important rule of these activities.

The foundation will successfully fulfil its goal if the youth participants of our programs will grow up to be responsible adults, capable of thinking and acting freely for their community and environment.
